100% YES! This is why we started Run2PB, we were sick of seeing runners not achieve
their goals with generic planners from the internet. We take into account your training
history, lifestyle, routines and goals and then build an individual training program
targeting the goal race just for you. We’re here to listen and you’ll receive your individual plan, comments and feedback through the Final Surge App.

Question 2

Do I get to choose my own coach?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we work with you and like to know your goals and preferred coach, we’ll suggest who we think the best coach for you is but the final decision is entirely up to you.

How soon will I get my program?

Accepted Answer

After the Initial Sign up and assessment of your running history, goals and lifestyle, it typically takes 3-5 days to have your training program emailed through and an appointment set to discuss the program in detail.

How do you deliver my training program?

Accepted Answer

You will be linked to make an account with Final Surge. Your training plan is delivered in calendar format with a detailed description of the type, distance and pace for each run. Final Surge offers automatic sync with most GPS sports watches, it allows us to provide detailed workout analysis, daily text or email workout notifications, calendar syncing and  much more. If you don't own a running watch, you can even use the Final Surge app on your phone (iOS and Android) to log your runs which upload directly to your training log.

How do I contact my coach?

Your coach is always only an email away! You will have an initial phone call  or video call depending on your preference, where your coach will outline the program, goals and you have the opportunity to ask any questions.
You can also chat with your coach via Final Surge messaging and respond to comments/feedback left by your coach.  
We also have a Run2PB private facebook group that you can also chat with other runners, share experiences and inspire each other.

Can I be coached for another event rather than the featured/goal events?

At this stage the individual programs are just focused on the feature event- Melbourne
Marathon Festival and our parkrun program. We have a number of different options at
the Melbourne Marathon Festival across the 10km, Half Marathon and Marathon
distance.
 
We will be rolling out a number of events through 2019 and beyond.

Will there be more feature events in the future?

Yes, Run2PB will continue to grow throughout Australia with enrollments to be taken for
Gold Coast Marathon Festival, Run Melbourne, Great Ocean Road Running
Festival and Run for the Kids in 2019.

Question 8

Can I continue the program after the goal race?

We discourage you using your individual program after the feature race. The individual
programs have been written in training phrases and we believe recovery is essential after a goal race for both physical and psychological reasons. However, we will plan a recovery program for you after the goal race and have options for new goal races after the Melbourne Marathon Festival.

What happens if I get injured when completing the training plan?

As elite athletes always striving to achieve PBs we understand that achieving goals can be difficult. The exciting thing about the journey is that no goal is guaranteed. Our programs are designed to get you on the start line with the best chance possible to achieve your goals. There will be times where uncontrollable events such as weather, course changes and life gets in the way of achieving your goals in your feature race. We’re here to work with you and give you every chance to succeed.

Question 10

What happens if I don’t achieve the goal in my program?

In your post program reflections we’ll discuss reasons why your goal wasn’t achieved in
your feature race and unpack learnings discovered throughout your training cycle. This
knowledge will be paramount in setting your next goal moving forward as a runner.
*Money will not be refunded if an athlete does not achieve a PB in the feature event.

How do I pay?

Once you have completed the sign up form and we have matched you with your coach, you will receive a welcome email, followed by our standard terms and conditions, and an invoice with our bank details to make payment within 48hrs to secure your place, once received we can finalise your program.
