50+ Marathons of Experience
Chris came into the sport in his early 20’s during his rehab from a back injury picked up playing Irish sports.
Initially running just to regain a level of fitness to allow a return to his preferred Sport,
he soon became interested in a one off goal of completing a marathon.
Running the distance in 2007 for the first time Chris has gone on to run another 51 marathon/Ultra races
including completing the famous Comrades marathon on 5 occasions.
A decision to move away from Ultra distance running in 2012 to work on improving his marathon times
has allowed him to explore the various different approaches to the preparation of a marathon runner
and gradually blending what works for him specifically.
A keen interest in the history of running in Ireland and Australia allows Chris to combine both old and new ideas when working to identify the best program for himself at any particular time. The experience over the years has prepared him well when he has assisted or provided training advice for friends and family from time to time.

Chris's passion for running has taken him all over the world to travel
and experience the great races and cities around the meeting and making life-long friends and memories.

Chris openly admits running has helped both his physical and mental health and definitely made him a better Husband, Dad and even in his professional life due to the balance and discipline the training brings.
Chris is a dad of two kids under 3 years old , Chris continues
to run in the community and with his own running still chasing P.Bs
